We rode the Vellcito/Middle Mountain and Beaver Meadows areas. Big thanks to San Juan Sledders snowmobile club for their help and efforts maintaining the trails!

We stayed at a cabin owned by a friend of the family. Lots of places to stay in towns of Durango, Bayfield, Pagosa Springs, and a couple resorts on Vallecito Lake. Not much for snowmobile friendly though (you mostly have to trailer to trail heads). Unless you stayed at one of the resorts on Vellecito. Not much for rentals either, my father in-law rented one from a guy he found but it was an older sled (like an 02) put price seemed reasonable. Local polaris/ski-doo dealer in Durango was helpful too.

I need to get back out west, that bottomless pow makes trail riding in the flat land mundane!

Places to stay in Durango

I just got back from my buddies place in Durango at Purgatory Mtn resort. Awesome powder. Chest deep powder. Check out the flyer below. Very cheap place to stay and you can ride from your door and gas is less than 5 minutes away.
