Satellite Derived Snow Cover Analysis

John,

I was checking out the snow cover maps tonight and when looking at the image of the northern hemisphere, decided it would be neat to compare to the southern hemisphere.

Unfortunately I could not locate a map for the southern hemisphere on the NOAA website. Am I missing it somewhere? Or do you know of another similiar view for the southern hemispere?

Thank you!

Jim-

To the best of my knowledge they do not provide this info for the S. Hemisphere.

You would not see much snow anyway. For one it is turning summer down there and even in their winter season, most of the S. Hemisphere is water and what land there is is located in climates too warm for much snow. All the snow is confined to the mountain ranges.
