They eat mice and other little creatures that like to use your cabin as shelter during winter months!

Lenny: No doubt the little weasel is small but mighty and yes, they are very feisty. Change color-only white when there's snow.

Maybe it is a white weasel. After it got done taking care of that squirrel make all that noise behind me it came over and started checking me out. It was all white and the tip of the tail was black.

A Stoat in winter coat, then called Ermine. Just as tough on Grouse and Rabbits as mice and other rodents. Interesting to watch and unusually pretty in the wild. Though I have never seen it, they apparently do a dance bounce and flopping to fool rabbits into thinking that they are not a threat while getting closer and closer until they charge in for the kill. I believe they have a very musky gland to defend against animals and birds of prey...sort of like a skunk.

Quite often have a white weasel "Ermine" around our pole barn during winter months-they aren't harmful to anything in the barn and they do take care of mice. Don't see them around other than winter.

a huntin camp's best friend

Back in the 70's we had one that would get into our cabin somehow. It hung out in the basement where we hung our snowmobile clothes. We never saw a mouse or any sign of one all winter. It would scare you though when you grabbed your helmet and the weasel would jump out of it.
