Seat tear

I have a small tear that is appearing on my Polaris seat.
It is more of a crack than being tore all the way down to the cushion.
What is a fix to seal this up before it starts to get worse?
The seat is black.

Depends on if you want a good as new look or not.

I bought some heavier fly fishing thread, a needle, and cross stitched the entire seam before it went completely across, and then caked it with 6-7 maybe 8 layers of vinyl glue.

I've got almost 1000 miles on it this year, and it hasn't cracked or torn anymore.

I know it's not the prettiest, but when my arse is on it, who cares as long as the foam is not getting wet!

Otherwise, a cover, depending on year, is probably less than $100 from Polaris. It's not that hard to put a new cover on.

Dido for XCR440's explanation. I did the same thing to an RMK Trail I had. Owned it for 6 years and it looked like the day I did it. Held up awesome. i think you could buy black or dark gray adhesive to use if you wanted to make it blend a little better. Just check around and make sure it's stuff that will work well with vinyl, and will be o.k. in the cold.

Most hardware stores sell vinyl repair and black is pretty standard color. If it is only cosmetic. Otherwise, upolstry needle and nylon thread will take the stress of the seam away, and will last a very long time. I have had one in place for 10 years on ATC and it still is doing the job.

Sun's rays are hard on plastic and you should cover the sled from the sun in the off season.
