Shawano County trails will be closing for the weekend according to the hotline (website not updated yet.) Probably a smart choice to try and preserve things. From a selfish standpoint, it sucks, as I was finally going to able to ride out from the cabin this coming weekend. They remain open until Thu I believe. Fingers crossed they survive the warm up and that the predicted precip next week is snow rather than rain.

Zone one and some section of the Wiouwash and Mountain Bay are open again. They had received probably 3 inches or so last week. Today so far according to a trail camera, there has been another inch and still snowing. Calling for up to 2. Anything is better than nothing. 40s on Friday sucks, but hopefully one day won't do too much damage.

As expected all zones are closed. Weather for the week looks terrible. Doubt there's any chance of a reopen this season. At least we got a few rides in. Still missing the opportunities we had about 3 years ago. Sooner or later we're due for a good season in Shawano Co again. Here's to hoping.
