Shock Rebuild

I need to get the shocks on my 03 Rev rebuilt and was wondering if anyone had experience with DLS (Dee member fastcat800)or DRH (Dee member mikedrh)? Their prices appear to be pretty appealing but their both in Minnesota. Ideally, I'd like someone closer (drop off), but if they're good, I can easily ship them.

Thanks for your input.

Dave,at DLS did a very good job on my shocks.Price was very good and turn around was less than a week.I will never go to anyone else.Trust me you will not be disappointed.

Mike at DRH is the guy to go with. He has a 24 hour turn around policy if I remember correctly. Where do you live? I could drop them off for you if you live in central WI. I drive up from Point every weekend (Thursdays), and practically drive right by his place.

Give Mike a call: 651-437-4205

Thanks for the quick replies guys, I thought my tag had my location. I'm in Shorewood, IL, which is near the Plainfield/Joliet area. Good news is both these guys are well recommended, so it's a matter of which address I put on the box I suppose. I think DRH is a little cheaper and the turnaround is faster, which is important since the rain and 60 degree temperatures yesterday took away the last trace of December's snow. I'll pull them off the sled tomorrow and ship them up from work on Monday.

Thanks also for the dropoff offer XCR, but I think you're a bit far from me. If anyone has any good experience with reasonably priced rebuilders more local to the west/southwest suburbs of chicago, I'm still interested.

For where u are, I second the Goodwins vote. Check their latest turnaround time though. With lots of sleds sitting waiting for snow, there's likely others thinking about a shock rebuild right now.

Isn't there somebody more local to you that can do it? To me....unless you are revalving, a rebuild is a rebuild. YES....one can have problems but most most local places who do it are reasonable and do a good job. Just an idea......

I live in Shorewood also and used Goodwin to do it. They had them done next day for me so it just depends if you want to ship and see the turn around time. I have had Dockside do warranty work but never had them rebuild shocks. If its just a rebuild do not think it would be a problem.
