Shooting

A guy walked into the Wal Mart about two miles from my house and starts shooting, killing one employee and wounding another then shoots himself. That is not supposed to happen around here. We don't even lock our doors or vehicles in town. I guess he was an airman from the Air Force Base. This happened around 1 AM. At least the store was quite at that time.

well all I can say is there is NO such place in today's world where things like this cannot happen
humans are human's, crime and nut's have been about since there have been human's
I personally think, its JUST in todays world of new being traveled so fast, its just heard of more often
I look at it like this, lets say its 1 % of the humans that are NUTS in a bad way
and 50 yrs ago there was just 5 million humans
and now there is 50 million(just silly numbers here NOT facts)
its just that 1% still, it just seems like more, due to more humans

I feel for the folks he shot or caused harm to, its never good when that happens
hate top maybe say this, BUT I'm Glad he shot himself,
NO point in wasting tax payers money in taking him to court, and then feeding and clothing him for ??? many yrs in Jail
Jails are already over crowded and costing tax payers billions every yr
One less nut in the world

Yup, crazy place in which we live.
we live fairly close to where the trestle trail shooting in Menasha took place about a month ago. Depressed guy with girlfriend problems killed 3 injured another before taking his own life.

Even if person is not willing to carry you darn well better be practicing situational awareness every where you go. Wheres your exit plan(s). Scanning people for potential threats. That cashier, waitress, teller may not be a threat but you have no idea if they had domestic dispute before work or jealous boyfriend looking for them.

fully agree, knowing what's around you in todays world is a good thing, been a CCW holder and practice since the 80's
better to have and NOT need than need and not have
relying on others to protect me has never been my idea of a good plan
