Rode last weekend Friday thru Sunday. Broke roller on clutch 10 miles into ride. Called Timberline Sports, said they had the part and they'd be there if it wasn't too late. I knew I'd be pushing their 5pm closing time by the time I got trailer, loaded up and drove there. No problem. Got there at 5:30pm (they close at 5pm), was in and out fixed in 45 minutes. Saved my weekend. While waiting for trailer at Sydnaw Station I talked to another guy who said the same thing. His sled broke the day before. Everybody else was 5 days out. Timberline fixed it same day. And he was taking phone calls to fix sleds when I left around 6:30pm. Can't say enough good things about that level of service. That's a guy who knows his customers.
And the riding. Rode Sydnaw and north of Mass City. Snow ok. Off-trail out of the question. That rain set the snow up like concrete. North of Mass City all sugar snow. Amazing how a few miles difference can change the snow. Groomers were out and you have to be willing to change your route based on the grooming schedule. Sunday morning, after a few inches overnight, we were first in groomed trauks that were fantastic. Then hit ungroomed that were pretty rough. Turned around to follow grooming and had a great 3 hour ride before heading home.
No question they need more snow.
