Got up to Silver Bay wed eve, put on 85 miles up to Trestle inn and back, fresh groomed n shore trail. Wednesday 300 miles silver bay - grand marais - grand portage - grand marais - silver bay. Awesome groomed and plenty of snow on n. shore trail, grand portage trail awesome too EXCEPT for a few miles of plowed but good snow covered logging roads. Also, on way to grand portage, shortly after plowed logging road ( 3 to 6 miles? ) there's a small wet spot flowing accross the trail that's cut a pretty deep mogul into trail. Someone marked it along side with yellow police - type tape. Keep your eyes peeled!!
Friday morning put on 100 miles silver bay up to the trestle, then over toward Isabella on tomahawk (?) Trail. Good god Rob from the trestle and his 7 friends did an incredible job clearing the downed trees!! Almost looks like they had to cut a whole new trail!! Snow was good but it could use grooming. I turned left ( south?) And went past the Wildhurst, then back down to n shore trail. Bumps were developing and more and more sleds heading up north on trail!!
Left about noon for home and there was steady stream of sno mo trailers heading north!!

Thanks for the update!

The snow looks great, but I'm sure it's getting beat up, since it the only place to ride in MN...
