Due to lodging conflicts we had to make reservations for a night in Silver City, any news on that area or the trail conditions, we will be heading there Thursday for the night. Did a thread search and didn’t see any recent updates, hoping for some intel.

not a post on trail conditions but..... a few years ago we stayed a night there and they wouldnt allow sleds or trailers parked on the main lot, had to park down by the river, one of our group had one of his sleds in the bed of his truck, covered. next morning sled still there covered but when we got to our real destination removed the cover to find that sled had been stripped to the tune of $1600 in parts. dont know if their parking policy is the same yet but if your sleds arent enclosed I just thought id share our experience there

Was through there on Friday afternoon. For the most part trails had plenty of snow, just some minor stretches of bare pavement right in Silver City. A couple wet areas threatening to open up, but I'd guess those will solidify again with the forecasted colder temps. From what I've seen the Ontonagon club has their stuff together in taking care of the trails in that area.

Thanks for the info, I guess I’ll call and check on the parking, glad we are only staying one night there. We have never been there before, so I was hoping it wouldn’t be a complete disaster, we will be riding there from Mercer.

Silver City trails were awesome, I had never really seen anyone talking about much on John Dee, but they were the best trails we rode all weekend. Im glad we took a chance, parking at the hotel was no problem at all, sleds and trailer were all parked on site.

that's good to hear, heading that way the 17th, first ride will be to lake of the clouds. on my first post I just threw that out there about parking, wee all thought it odd but maybe management or ideas have changed since then, thanks for the post!
