Does anyone know if trails were washed out towards silver mountain, lance, baraga or the gas line? and im sorry I don't remember the trail number but the trail that heads east from the Nichols trail towards silver mountain which were seasonal road for quits a stretch were heavily plowed last couple years, I believe for logging, will this still be going on this winter? I just know you cross a couple small creeks with bridges and a river just before silver mountain and was curious if this area was damaged or closed, don't know if this area seen as much rain as did in the keewenaw.

All is good. I have a deer camp 5 miles north of Silver Mountain. West line of the property is about 150 yds from trail 109. Did some driving around this past weekend, no damage to speak of. The DNR trail maps for Houghton county were updated as of 10/22 showing the closures.

That's great news! a long way off from when I am going to be up there but I just like to plan my rides ahead of time, made it part way there 2 years ago before one of our groups sled broke a drive shaft, not to mention some of the seasonal roads were heavily plowed, our riding cut short last year due to freezing rain. Really like riding out that way and hope to this year, Thank you !
