Ski doo carb warmers

Noticed these while summerizing the sleds. I have never turned these on even when rode below zero and never had a problem. Do these things do any good?

I had those on my 2002 MXZ. Never used them but I seem to recall their purpose is for riding in Deep Powder or when there's a lot of snow dust that is being pulled in the airbox which could freeze up the carbs. It was never an issue for me so I left them turned off.

Had them on my 03 800 and never turned them on.

I used them this weekend because of the deep powder we where riding in this weekend. Over 2 feet ! Did not want to risk the carb intakes frosting up and making the sled run rich and foul the plugs. Thats what the carb warmers are for. 500 SS Doo XP
