Ski-doo dealer with demos

I am looking for a ski-doo dealer in central MN who still has a demo or two. I am looking at buying a new sled next year and would like to try out an etec 600 or a 800r so I know how they ride and how strong the engines are.

Any input on what sled is better between the 600 etec and the 800r would be helpful also.

Olson's in North Branch

They might still have a couple to try. Ollies in Alex is a good dealer also that may have inventory. As far as 600 or 800, that is a function of rider needs. That 600 Etec is one nice ride and the fuel and oil consumption is awesome. 800 is a must for a big guy like me in the mountains but I think I would be satisfied with a 600 at sea level. I did not see fuel and oil consumption improvements on my 800 summit but I never really got off the throttle in WY last week. Good Luck

I would be suprised if they offer the 800r next year aswell. Unless they think to offer them at a lesser price option on certain models. Like they do with there 600 carb. The prices for this new technology accross all brands is getting to high. Who would of thought snowmobiles would be getting in the price range of a Harley.

I have and 800 e-tec and have ridden a 600 e-tec several times. Never ridden an 800R Power Tek. As Doo Dr said, the 600 e-tec should satisfy your power needs in the midwest or other low elevation locations. I would vote for the 600 e-tec over the 800 Power Tek with the carburated motor. Both e-tecs ride and handle about the same (real nice) although the 800 has a noticeble amount of additional smile inducing power. If you are looking for a smooth running sled with a bunch of power, you might want to consider the 800 e-tec.

I would love to pick up a 800 etec but I am going to be looking for a leftover and the dealer here in town said that Ski-Doo had some injector issues and had to cut the production year short. Because of that there is suppose to be a shortage of etec 800's out there. Does any one know if that is correct?
