Ski Doo kill switch & heated grip problem

2007 MXZ 500SS - so last year my kill switch started working intermittently and then it just stopped working - not a big deal. Yesterday I had my heated grips set to Low and my left hand was super hot and my right grip was cold. Turned the switch to High and both grips heated up. Thumb warmer works normally.

So... is this a coincidence or two separate problems?

Thanks for any advice!

Probably 2 different problems kill switches have been know to quit working or intermittently not work hand warmer with 1 cold and other hot sounds like all power going to the one hand and not both, without seeing wiring schematic not positive. That is what I'm thinking

You have the rocker style kill switch that is built into the throttle block right? They are notorious for problems, but it's an easy fix. Just take it apart, clean up the contacts and add a little die-electric grease. Search Dootalk for the instructions.

Probably a wire broke on your grip. More than likely a coincidence.

Thanks for the feedback. After posting this question I went and shot some WD-40 on the switch (read that somewhere else) and now

the kill switch seems to work just fine. I checked the wire from the grip that wasn't working on Low, everything seemed fine and now

that problem is gone too! Likely just a coincidence but we'll see what happens.

Thanks!
