Ski doo shocks

I have an 05 Renegade & got some new front shocks off an 07 SS. The new shocks are 1" shorter in length eye to eye but the piston/rod is only 1/2" shorter than my original shock. The new shock mounts up just fine but I'm looking for an opinion as to do this or not? I know the travel will be a little less but I would think it would not be enough to affect anything? Any thoughts would be great.

New member
No need for replies, I mounted the new shocks & it lowered the front end by three inches so it will not work.
