ski doo short block

Anyone where I can get a rebuilt/new motor for a 06 ski doo 800. Motor went down over weekend took motor out upon inspection, best for me to get a short block. When motor went down it took out piston, crank, and cracked the lower case.

SBT has short blocks, also available from ski doo dealer. Just a note though.. the OEM re-built has no warranty unless the dealer installs it. Ask me how I found out...Plus most will want a core motor and if the case is bad the core is junk.

Also check Hildebrand marine, I see thay advertise re-built motors.

Ya they will bust ya down for cracked case..might want to try MCB performance out of michigan...i think he deals in shortblocks now too.

From what it look likes bearing on connecting rod went and chuck of something got cought up and cracked lower case. Made loud noise thinking my belt went, but then motor stopped fast. There is 8500 + miles on it.

Done it may times, Have cases welded. Install remanufactured crank from skidoo, bore cyl and install new pistons. Done. You just have to find someone to weld the cases and get cyl. bored

And a new crank was only 450 bucks with a core return. I thought very reasonable. Mine was a 700, but prices shouldn't be to much differant.
