ski doo XR chassis vs. XP chassis

Can anyone tell me the big differance in these chassis's and if any strength is lost between them? The XR are the grand touring line and the XP would be the current renegade line I beleive. Both have 137in track Just wondering on the strength of this thing. Thanks

I see the XR is some of the GSX models also.

The XR is the chassis that's used for the 1200 4 tec Engine and the tunnels do vary in length depending on the model. The ski width is the same as the XP but the 4 Stroke engine requires more width which gives the XR a wider appearance. Also the A Arms and cross members of the front suspension are bigger in diameter on the XR. I assume that is because of the added weight of the 4 tec. So yes, it would be a stronger chassis based on some of the components.

IMO the XR chassis looks much better than the XP. Again, IMO, the 2013 XP with the new side panels looks much more like the XR chassis.
