Ski wheels?

Anyone have the wheels for the skis, what kind and how do you like them. I see a couple different manufactures of them. I want to put a set on an 08 Apex.

I had retrax wheels on my 04 polaris 800 classic. they were great in the garage. but, when riding in powder on the trail, like during a storm, I got LOTS of snow piling up by the wheels and the radius rods. other then that, all was good. if you get those,be sure to grease those zirk fittings.

What about ski wheelz I think it is. Can any of these be driven up ramp into enclosed trailer I wonder?? It would sure beat those dumb expensive tracks I installed in my trailer and maybe not have to horse back end of machines around especially full of snow.

the Retrax brand worked great in/out of the trailer. the only time the skis were used was when ready to hit the trail.

With the Retrax type, do you have to get off sled to retract them. I know some of them are supposed to retract again once you hit the trail or snow but haven't seen that happen on a friend of mines sled. All he has to do is stand up give the sled a little shake back and forth and they flip up on their own. His wife has a set on her sled too but she isn't big, or strong enough to do this. I wondered about going in and out of a trailer and them flipping up when they hit the void between ramp and trailer floor.

yes,you must get off sled and retract them. trust me,these are not the end all/be all some sales people pitch. some people thought you would lower these at every road crossing..NOT!
they work good, but no better than the shop dollies,in my opinion. but I can only speak for the retrax brand wheels on polaris edge chassis machines.
