Skidoo Clutches Trashed!!

So these are the pics of my primary and secondary clutches off of my 2012 TNT 600. Exhaust manifold bolt came off and trashed the clutches. I came across the DooDoctor in Traverse City and looks like they might be able the "fix" them. This sled has been a belt eater since the day I picked it up new. Anybody experience something similiar or dealt with DooDoctor? Floating QRS looks pretty good!

By the look of them in the pictures I don't see how they could fix them. The Sheeve faces on both the primary and secondary are trashed. I would be concerned with balance issues as well. Doo doctor would be someone to definitely have look at them.

Ski doo's exhaust bolts have been coming loose for years. It amazes me that with the technology they have, they don't address the stupid crap like manifold bolts, gas gauges, clutch alignement, etc. I'm on my third Ski doo, and it will most likely be my last. With that being said, use some Nord Lock washers and red locktite on your exhaust bolts. I have a Doo doctor floating secondary on my sled, and it's awesome. Never had another belt problem after intalling it. Ski doo actually offers a similar product. As far as fixing your clutches, if anyone can Doo doctor would be the guy.

Willey, I'd have to say I'd agree with you, they look pretty trashed. I figured I'd be out of luck until I came across DooDoctor last night and saw the pictures on his website. If you look at the pictures on his site, that primary looks as bad if not worse than mine and looks like it "cleaned" up nicely.

I sent the pics in to Goodwin Performance and they figured they could fix the secondary but the priamry was questionable. Without seeing it in person, no way of knowing for sure.

Wish me luck :)

Brian (doodoctor) does great work and his floating secondary works well. I've got his floater on a couple sleds.

If you aren't able to fix those, I have a used primary and secondary available.

I have the DooDr floating secondary on my '09 TNT 500ss. Went with it after a circlip failed and trashed the shaft and inner sheave. I needed everything turned around fast as I had a trip scheduled the next week. He was very quick and easy to deal with, cheaper than going with OEM, and I'm very happy with the floating secondary. I never had belt problems before but now belt wear is extremely low and everything runs smooth. I plan to do this upgrade right away on my next sled. Highly recommend.
