just burned down my 2003 vin sold as 2004, doo 600 ho yesterday, over heated (I wonder why) and have to rebuild. Where do I find the engine size ,I understand 600's come in two different cc's 583 cc and another where is data,or do I just order parts (sdi piston gasket set) and they will know,due to the year

vin for sled is on right side of tunnel. motor no. are on right side of motor by recoil. as for the cc size if it is a sdi fuel injection no carbs then its 594 cc (600 HO) if it has carbs it could be 600 HO or 597cc they called the 500ss.. if it is a 03 rev the engine 600 HO carb these had short coolers in the tunnel and with the beaver tail delete kit sometimes causes heating problems with low snow conditions. as ffor the 583cc u say that was the rotary valve motor used last in 98 and 99 in the s chassis sleds

thanks for taking time for me It is HO gsx sport, so now I know where to look,took it apart yesterday and need piston complete kit. Acidized the cyl wall and it looks salvageable. Off to sdi for kit.
