Skinz Float Plate covering radiator vent?

I have an 06 Switchback 600HO. I am looking at the Skins Float plate as pictured below. My questions is that it covers up the radiator vents on the front. Will this be an issue? What about on a warm day will it overheat because its not getting enough air? It offers way more protection than the Polaris OEM one does. I called Skinz and they claim most people disconnect the front radiator anyway and it won't be an issue. Any advice is appreciated.

Well that plate is for off trail backcountry riding and many of those riders do remove their radiators. Check out Snowest or Hardcoresleder and you will find alot of information on setting up a polaris for off trail. If you ride on trail you do not want to remove the radiator and do not want that plate.

agree'd

Plate is fine for an rmk with no rad, but I wouldn't use that one if I was trail riding, JMO.

maybe a creative mod is in store. Carefully cut out where the vents are. By some of the similar material and oversize it compared to the size of the vents....maybe a tap and holes or if you can get at them from the underside...drill through with bolts.

Then when in deep country....have them covers bolted on....when trail riding...take them off.

You may also be able to do some kind of quick disconnect...like a nascar hood
