My friends sled starts, runs, but absolutely no electrical! No tach/speedo, no head/tail lights, no dash beeps...nothing!

He has a 06 Ski Doo 500SS Adrenaline and we are heading up Sat for the first trip of the year!

Can anyone offer some tech advice, things to check?

We have looked at everything possible…all fuses, connections, relays, etc…all fine.

Thanks!

You need someone to ring in here that knows more than the snow monkey. I think the power would come out of a lighting coil, on a polaris it is behind the pull starter. You have to have a way to check power at the source. It could still be a bad fuse or bad ground wire. Should be easy to find if all that stuff is down.

fgsacts - I am not familiar with the Doo's relays (I have a Yamaha)...what do they look like, where they are, how many and are they all the same? Could you point me in the right direction so I can relay (no pun intended) to my friend...Thanks so much!

out of all days not to have my old e-mails saved. Can't tell ya the part number but it is on the clutch side right up under the console. Black, about 1" by 1" by 1 1/2" size. I would bet that is it but I thought if it went out you wouldn't be able to start it but could be wrong. If you are close to napa get one, if you are a ways from napa get two. If that is it you want to have a spair one for I have heard this is a common problem. I haven't had it happen to me yet but on gigs advice I bought one to have as a spair.

I found a number in my wallet that strikes me as it but can't tell ya for sure, it is 410113200 (this is a doo number) Gigakessler could help you out more here. Might want to pm him.

Thanks dab102999! This is great info...also, his sled is a pull start, so it could very well be that relay.

Relay may be a different number for pull start. Take a look at brp's website for more info. I think they have a link to a parts finder. Or better yet go to doo talk. That way you should be able to get a napa number from there also.

I just replaced that relay on my sled a couple weeks ago and have the empty Napa box sitting right in from of me. The bar code SKU# is 7 07390 82130 6 There are other numbers on the box but if you are going to Napa they can find it with the SKU#.

I don't know a thing about doos but I looked up what I think is the relay on an online parts supplier site. I think the doo number is 410113200 and the retail cost is 27.19. If you can, get the NAPA equivalent and save yourself some money.

The Napa part number is AR 201 In my 2004 there was 1 relay, when you buy the part you will know what to look for when you open the left side panel (the belt side) and look up. In my 2007 There are 3 relays and they are not in either side panel but under the hood which was an easier install. I am not sure where they are in a 2006 but it will be 1 of those places, and this is probably the problem.

Here's one last tidbit. When I replaced mine about a month ago I was having the NAPA guy cross reference the Doo #. He said these relays cross reference to mid 1980's Buicks and Oldsmobiles. Funny!
