Slow start in the UP????

Just reserved our cabin on Gogebic for jan 9th thru the 13th. Just wondering if this is considered a slow start snow wise for the UP? I have been noticing the LES has been hitting other areas besides the penisula. Just curious I guess.....

I don't think you could call it a slow start for anywhere in the UP. It is very early in the season and the snows in the past week have been hitting the same general locales and not moving around. So some areas are way ahead, while others are pretty close to average.
