Slydog Attack Skis?

This may belong in the Tech Talk thread? If so, my bad. Anyway, does anyone have any experience with Slydog Attack series skis, on, and off trail? I'm looking for skis that offer more flotation, and control on deeper snow forest roads, 2 tracks, and such. Nothing extreme in off trail intended. Ran into a rider last week that said Slydog Attacks that he has do what I'm looking for, and also work very well on trail. Any thoughts appreciated.

I put them on my Sidewinder B-TX (a notoriously nose heavy sled) first part of Jan....extremely happy with them....really decent flotation and trail manners are excellent....I do run Slim Jim Dooly wear bars....same setup I ran for 3+ seasons on my Viper X-TX except the skis were Curve XS

Hey abe have you tried running dual side-by-side carbides on the skis you currently have.... I say give these a try first this is what I run

I have no problem with the carbide set up on my Doo Pilot skis. The center/outside Pilot carbide set up is the best trail ski you can get imo. I'm looking for better flotation, and control in fresh, or deeper snow conditions. If anything, I would consider Tripe Points on single carbide skis.

My friend Don just tried a set on his Sidewinder Ltx Le a couple weeks ago in the Copper Harbor area. His is the Sidewinder featured on the cover of SnowTech Magazine awhile back. He did a write up about them on totallyamaha. His username is VX1R on there.

I don't think you can go wrong with either Slydogs or Mohawks. By far the most popular choice on TY for skis is SkiDoo Pilots either 5.7s or 6.9. Because they are cheap and they work. You are going to spend north of $500 for Mohawks and I would guess they don't give Slydogs away either. I went with Mohawks because I could not get my Arctic skis to where I trusted them. Tracker swears by Arctic skis and I believe him but he is using the XF skis where I was using trail skis. And of course the Yamaha skis that came with mine are horrible. Unpredictable and too narrow. The Slydogs and Mohawks are both a lot wider than stockers. In a foot or so of soft snow the Mohawks will jump up on top at about 40 where the stock Tuners would NEVER plane.

Thanks grub. The 6.9 Pilots are in the mix, and with the sled being a Doo they're the likely choice. However, the 6.9's don't have the ability to put the outside carbide on them, that sucks. The Slydog Attak's really got my eye. Good looking, well built, and definitely less $$$ than the SLP Mohawks.
