Sno Stuff Snowmobile Dolly Wheel problem

I have the above snowmobile dolly. I paid around $300 for it. I am totally disappointed in the wheels. I bought this for the big wheels to run on gravel and rough terrain. It picks up my vmax 700 ok but I noticed the plastic wheels started flexing. I was a little disappointed but now I just got a new yamaha Attak and its a much heavier sled. The Wheels now nearly bend in half when I pick up the sled and are close to snapping in half. My question is it possible to put some different tires on this dolly to make it work better. Any suggestions? Oh also the wheels require 50psi and the tires are pumped up to the recommend pressure.

You will have to convert to the fatter tires like the other models of dolly use. they can take the weight and have better floatation

cmharcou~ easiest fix that I can think of is a set of kids bike tires. I'm guessing those are about 12" to 18" tires and you should be able to find those and any store. Bike tire/rims with all spokes should hold up good. At least I would thing the metal rims and spokes would keep their form better and keep the same profile of you cart.

I do not think you can use a bike wheel because of the axle. I do not know if you could find a hub that would be compatible.

I got an older model for free but it's made for older snowmobiles that sit closer to the ground. I was thinking there's got to be some way to make it work on the newer sleds but I haven't taken the time to figure it out. I'd be interested to see if I could just put bigger tires/wheels on it.

Finally found a solution. Sno stuff makes a replacement wheel kit for these. They are non-pneumatic solid tire. $60 each but gotta have it. You would think they would give you a discount since their original product does not work.

Probably could convert to 6 cubic wheel barrow wheels with tube type tires $25 a piece check it out at Menards Ace Home depot.

Get your self a set of Sure Grip Dollies & be done with it. Slip them on, drive your sled where you want it, done. I picked up a set last year, wished I would have had something like these years ago. surely you can remedy the situation for less than 120 bucks.
note to self don't buy any junk from sno stuff.

Seriously, I would start over. You mention the replacement wheels are non-pneumatic hard tires and they won't work well in gravel. You can find a new dolly with 10" inflatable tires for under 200 most anywhere verses 120 for something that may not work after all.

I agree with gary--Just get new and be done with it, then you'll know what you got.
