Does anyone have any good news on snow in the UP? Some buddies and I are trying to plan a trip to head up there.

Sounds like you can ride the railroad grade from Krupps to Just south of Houghton, yippe! Or go off trail and hit a stump.

Just keepin it real, real sarcastic that is.

My crew is heading up to calumet Saturday. If we can get past the rain and high temps today it might be rideable. Our only hope is the new snow in the forecast and normal temps. The rain/ice make make a nice base.

I don't like taking it on the come...but who knows the UP can dump quickly. Next storm in Phelps is now Friday night & Saturday so might happen... suppose to be in high 20s Xmas Eve & Xmas. Maybe John will have a forecast tomorrow? Very wet here now & still raining.

We just got back. Spent all Mon and Tues in Twin lakes/Houghton area. Trail 3 was good but 13 was terrible and 120 was bad. 121 was groomed. They need more snow and colder temps.

Any updates on conditions? I heard some snow fell, temps have dropped and more in the forecast? Looking at coming up from IA for the 30th-3rd with my wife for our annual trip. Thanks in advance!

I'm in Vilas County, Wisconsin right now. We're trailering up to the UP today. I'll post what we find in the way of rideable trails.

Things are improving in Greenland area. After the rain we got a solid 6" and calling for 8+ now. Snowing good as I type. We have had the groomers go out and pack some trails down. There has been more traffic than I expected and with this snow now into Tuesday we will see the base improve. Actually it's good to have traffic on early season condition as it compacts the base which mean contributing to base building, with additional snow that is.
