Snow depth stick

Where is the "famous" snow depth gauge in the U.P.?? Is it viewable from a trail? Will be up in the area next week and would like to see it. Thanks

Trail 124 (appropriately named the "Snow-gauge Trail") goes right past it. You can park your sled and take pictures, hug it, what ever...

If you are heading north to Vansville Bar, just hang a right and you will run right into it a couple miles down the trail. It's actually one of my favorite trails and leads straight to Gay.
