I recorded a video of my ride to the Buckhorn for lunch today.
I started the video in the same spot I did this past Spring on the snowmobile.
The only difference is that I can not cross water on the 4 wheeler and I go around the lake. (1 minute longer video on dirt)
The 2 track going away from the lake by the bus is private. I run in to the main trail 7 when I come out of the woods 2 track and take the left.
At first trail 7 is mixed traffic - multi purpose. At the 3:40 mark is where it gets in to the 2 track. This is what I have always thought really needed a dirt grooming to make this trail right for both winter and summer. You will notice its non stop woops. The Can AM takes em surprisingly well. (faster = smoother)
At the 5:30 mark you will see some crazy grooves cut in to the trail. It is all tore up. At 6:10 you will see the tractor they have out in the area grooming the dirt trails!!!!!! Some thing that has not been done around here for ages. (15 to 20 years) I have also heard that trail 8 is wider and smooth. 41 South going to the Jack Pine has had a lot of work done to it. Seems things are still going in a positive direction up here.
