snow flap problem '05 yammi

Anybody know if Yamaha ever came up with a replacement flap for the '05 Rage that you won't shread everytime you back-up??? I'm getting ready to replace mine and would like to go with something Yamaha. Thanks

The new ones fit and are more rigid than the '05's. I went with a short 12" blue one and bent the aluminum that it mounts to out further.

Did you buy it thru Yamaha or was it after-market? Thanks

Cut the new more rigid flap at the line & never will be in studs again.Can't happen too short to get impaled & works great.

New Yamaha flap made by Yamaha just ask any dealer for new more rigid flap but you have to cut it at the line to keep out of studs in deep snow.
