Has anyone been to Snow-Motion at Nelson's?. The show is at the end of the month and I am thinking of going. It is about 1.75 hour drive to get there and want to know if it is worth it.

Yes, nice show. A pretty o.k. size swap area. Good deals on belts and plugs, hi-fax and so on. Plus about 100 or better new and used sleds for sale. Haven't missed it in about 10 years now.If you haven't recieved there flier then look em up on the net. I would think they would have it on there site now.

nelsonsspeedshop.com on there site is the add for snow-motion. (don't worry about the more expensive entry fee unless you go to the snow cross) just to get in is a few bucks a person and that goes back into snowmobiling.
Also a map on how to get there.

Curtis, love the profile. I got bit by the bug on a 72 Nomad 292. Did thousands of miles on that old beast. Never thought the sport would go where it has but love every minute of it. Haydays is the "official" start of snowmobile season for a lot of riders but for me Nelsons has always been the start. Oct is Hastings and it is probably 4 times the size of Nelsons. Nelsons used to have grass drags but for the last couple of years it has only been Vintage grass drags. Hastings has grass drags all day along with everything else going on.

It's a good show if you know exactly what you want. It's easy to get in and out. If you just want parts get there early before the lines get long. Tucker Hibbert was there, the year before I believe.

Doug, I picked up the Nomad's for my kids to bomb around the yard on. They have been a lot of fun for the family during bon fires in the backyard during the winter. They just keep on running. My son and his friends use to like to ski behind them. I want to restore one of them to new condition eventually. I grew up riding Rupp 440's (Sprint and and American). They were faster than grease lightning but they beat the devil out of you.

Saturday I think is the best day to go,esp. for the show.Fridays,in the past, they didnt seem to have their act together & not much going on,cheaper to get in but not as much action or swap.Got the flyer in the mail & it sounds like a good time this year,we drive from wisconsin to be there & would be again but started up watercross & will be racing in wausau this weekend.Have fun!

Don't think we have to worry about melting heat, supposed to only be in the low 70's sat and 60's sunday. Was going to make a weekend out of it and go to the water park in Muskegon but think I can save some $$ but just havin the kids roll around in the puddles!!
