get your fix, lucky them, I'm missing the white stuff...last season was way to short. Maybe we'll get it 2 months sooner, since that's where we seem to be now!

Depressing, why do I live here? I've already had to cut the grass twice. There I could still be playing with snow.

I'll have to tell my folks to stop in there on there way out to Glacier national park this June. I should just give my father my sled to take with 'em. My 78 year old man would have freek'n riot out there! Carter, you think you could show him around?

Hey, Tech... I'd love to show dad around, but usually by mid-june the snow is gone. Its decieving cuz the snow melts off closer to the road and no way to get to the patches or up high. Time to come is NOW... I think that looked like 3 or 4 inches at the lodge. Its driving me crazy. I'm setting up a ride next weekend as a final. I already got 3. Kris, you listening? I can find an extra cat to ride...

It sure is tempting, but I will be heading to the U.P. this weekend and have some other folks joining me at the cabin. I'll take a rain check and we'll make this happen another time! Have fun!

Man, I'd be there in a heart beat, but I've got one thing here that's kinda important; be here for the birth of my first born... any day now!

Any chance you'd guide a UTV or ATV trip?!? He's do that. :D You don't guide the horseback riding trips do you?

Paul, good luck on the newborn... as for guiding stuff in summer, I don't do that but I could ride along or we rent atv's and go but I'm in the dark on that stuff. I do know outfitters who do guide horse trips and could hook you up. Let me know more...Kris.... I know you guys, and I will see you next winter...

techsledder, your right I do live the dream here in the U.P., but the Jackson Hole, Togwotee area just has that something different ,mountains are the big one, but if you ever had that feeling that you've been some where in a past life, that area was it for me. Drigg's was awesome as well.In Jackson it is just my cup of tea, art galleries, cool establishments, shops etc.,but a little refined as well, but in a laid back setting,if we need that shopping fix it's a 2 to 5 hour drive. Course the one thing you need there is $$'s galore, if you were to live the good life that we have here.. So yeah you hit it on the head I have the dream right here in my back yard, wouldn't change a thing.Except the weather pattern I'd love to have snow 6 months out of the year and fall 5 months, the 1 month the summer lovers could have. Just hope we can keep our freedoms, we have been fortunate to have here in the U.P., but if you watch the news , or some posts here,it could all be coming to an end, we may become ''cityfied"have more rules and regulations set upon us,lose our trail systems, etc.Should I dare say we need a big "change" as what we have now is not the "change" I want, or wanted!

I'll talk more with my parents and see what they would like to do then. Thanks for the suggestions so far sir!

They had snow in Tahoe last week also. I went out to hike and bike and ended up renting sleds since it was so snowy. Had a great ride Thursday and was hiking in a t-shirt Friday. Crazy weather out there but sure was fun .....and cool. Beat the heck out of the hot weather that southern Wisconsin had last week. Squaw Valley even opened for 'bikini' skiing on Saturday/Sunday.
