Two guys I ride with had a chance to test ride bikes on their December trip. Came straight home, sold their sleds and got bikes (both KTM 450s) before our January trip to Hahns Peak. It was a very interesting trip - Two bikes, Two sleds. Wasn't a major problem since it was their first time, but I think going forward we may be conflicted with them riding tight trees we can't maneuver. Biggest things I noticed: 1) They stay seated 100% of the time --- That seems boring to me!!! 2) Hardly anywhere to grab when they get stuck (and they actually got stuck more than me for once). HA! 3) They are NOT made for short riders. One of the guys is short and he fell over almost every time he'd stop. Sometimes even if he was riding and tried to cut a turn too tight. Lucky me was bringing up the rear and got to help him pick up the bike --- Every. Single. Time. And the trails getting to the POW were dicey for him, the one ski wants to wash out ALL THE TIME. He started figuring it out toward the end of the week, but was still falling every once and awhile.

Once they learn, you’ll be jealous! Trails are even fun ; ). Don’t hate us one ski’s!
