Snowmoblie and Semi's DON"T MIX!! Look before you cross!!!!

Snowmobile season and just getting underway.

But fun on a sled can turn into a disaster in seconds.

A semi truck hit a snowmobile on Island Lake Road near Kalkaska.

Police say two snowmobiles crossed the road without looking.

The first sled made it across, but the second did not.

The man was hospitalized, but expected to be okay.

Police say it's amazing the man involved in the accident even survived.

Following simple safety precautions can prevent those accidents from happening all together.

I seen that last night on 9&10 news here in gaylord they showed pics of the sled looked like a pile of twisted metal could not even tell that it was a sled just by looking at it.Glad he is ok

He should probably go buy a lotto ticket! I came across a sled vs. truck accident a few years back and that guy wasn't so lucky but it was a dead center hit also. Was not a night I like to remember but have never forgotten. Stop and look folks.
