I was out trail riding this weekend and there were a lot of people on the trail, beautiful day in the stearns county area of Minnesota--so of course you will come up on some slower drivers with bigger groups or just newer Driver's getting use to trail ridding. My big problem is that when you get behind these groups of people I tend to wait til they pull up at a stop sign or pull to the side before I try to pass letting them know I'm there before going around them and most the time its with in a mile or so. Well on Saturday's ride we were doing just that, came up on another group and just waiting to pass when a sledder coming from way in the back came flying up on us not on the trail but on the outside of the trail where all the signs say stay on trail or you will lose it. Just because its an open field doesn't mean its a free for all. He than decided that he was a fast rider on his 800, that the stop sign at the road crossing didn't need to be used so as we were being let by from the group in front of us, and so its off to the race's. He cut the next 5 corners off through the field and just didn't care who was coming the other way.I've considered myself a pretty good rider and I like to get aggressive once and a while--but to just disobey all signs than think that your a fast rider. Don't kid yourselves, it takes a lot to get these trails open and have one so called racer wreck it for everyone. I did catch up to this guy within two miles and startled him when I passed him and just less that a mile before you get in to town it says 20 mph on the sign and you guessed it he passed me as I'm slowing up and he was still doing at least 60 heading thru the trail in to town. Now I'm a fat guy on a snowmobile and only a 600 if I can catch up to you staying on the trail you probably aren't that fast to begin with so start respecting the trails and the signs.Im just trying to make it fun for everone
