Memories

The Cat looks like what I first rode after I outgrew the Kitty Kat.

Model Year '70 or '71?

We had a '69 and a '71. Both with Wankels. Lots of good memories playing on those sleds. :)

I was able to zoom in on the yellow one's signage and it appears to read Snow Flite. I did a little research and found that the company built Snowblowers too.

The colors look similiar and I found out that Snow Flite was a predecessor of MTD. They are, or were a common Lawn & Garden equipment mfr. sold at Menards, Fleet Farm, etc.

Gotta love that Old Iron from back in the day when everybody was building snowmobiles. Mercury, Harley Davidson, Ariens, Sears Roebuck etc.

Enlarged the pic, but all I could read was _ _ _ _ flite. Hate to say it, what ever it is it sure is ugly! Looks like a fun project though.

Yup I also thought that they were ungly. Don't know why in the world he wanted them. I guess cuz he got them for free. You should see the old 67 Sno Bug he is trying to fix up. I will have to post some pics of that. It only has 1 ski in front right in the middle of the machine. Now that is ugly. He wants to get it running enough so he can ride it down to Henry's and back. I am not going to hold my breath waiting for that to happen.

Here is picture of the Sno Bug which Darrell has redone. It is a 1967, 68 or 69. I don't have any before pictures as he tore it apart before I could get pics. He took his maiden voyage down to Henry's today. That is what he wanted to accomplish.
