I was trying to find the thread on space heaters, anyone know how to find it.
I was checking into Edenpure and others, just looking for something to warm up a cold room.
Thanks ahead of time.
Let it snow!

I use a edenpure in my house the 1000 model works great. I also have a edenpure knock off and it works alright but not as good as the edenpure. Ace hardware had the edenpure on sale for $297.00.Thats a good price last year they were $397.00.

Dont waste your money every electric heater thats 120 volt only puts out about 1500 watts. Electric heat where i'm at cost twice as much as natural gas. Your gas bill might go down but your power will go up. Spend your money sealing drafts and insulating instead.

I actually ordered an Eden Pure personal heater for $197 and then cancelled it after being told by they have a 15% failure rate.
I bought a unit at home depot for $50.00
Its not a draft/sealing problem, its a room that is too far from the furnace with no cold air return near by.
I just wanted something to take the chill off when someone is in there.
Thanks for the imput though!

I bought a Life Smart infared heater at Menards this past Friday. On sale for $69. Used it to heat 1/2 of my cabin (400 sq ft) since I ran out of propane! I was very happy with it, kept us at 60 degrees. Outside was 14 degrees. We will see how long it lasts....

Handy for an emergency but not a good primary heating source. Certainly not cheap to run unless you somehow hook it up to off peak. For a remote room once in awhile maybe O.K. Why not just direct heat into the cool room with a fan? Fans are cheap and don't start many fires.
