Sparta riding

Ya, come to SE minnesota. Much more senic and the Sno-Gophers do great work on our expansive trail system. Wait, I like to keep them to myself. Sparta sounds great!!

Well, you have lots of options. Monroe county does a great job maintaining their trails. Fort Mc Coy has some cool scenery and the trails are typically flat and fast. The Sparta-Elroy bike trail typically has the same conditions. You could also head north towards Black River Falls in which Jackson county does a great job on their trails as well. Millston has several bars to choose from, but I prefer the 400 club,(burgers are excellent), Hatfield in Jackson county is another popular destination (The Mug) also has great food. If you are looking for a little further ride venture over to Juenau County and head towards Castle Rock Lake. Possibilities are endless, and trails should be in great condition. The last several years I have been stuck on riding in Northern WI, but the trails in the La Crosse/Sparta/BRF area have been great.

Hey mangleson a good website to look at would be travelwisconsin.com. I went up there with a buddy a couple years ago and the website was pretty accurate. I just looked myself and it appears that monroe county has down graded from excellent to good. Although, three surrounding counties such as juneau, columbia, and vernon are still excellent. Good luck!! Check out four corners while you are there. great scenery.
