I may have asked in the past but because of snow conditions and timing never had a chance to go there, but we really like this area for its hills, valleys, just a beautiful area. Has anyone ever ridden in this area? do the trails wind through the hills and valleys and is there a public place that we can drop from?

This is a excellent area to ride when they have good snow. Generally very well groomed. Western half of Wis has some of the best riding, and scenery anywhere imo! 40 years ago we rode that area you talk of a lot. They just don't get the snow now days that they used to it seems?

when they have the snow, I like riding in those areas as much or more then up north. We have made several good rides going west from Mauston area too

This is kind of what I thought, have been wanting to get out there but with shop, snow plowing and lets not forget to mention mother nature just haven't been able to make it happen yet and who knows when or if winter will ever arrive or not, but want to make it a point to get out there, just driving some of those county roads through the valleys between Dodgeville and spring green I can only imagine the trails are equally as scenic.
