St. GERMAIN - CONOVER - BOULDER JUNCTION TRAIL CONDITIONS

My buddies just returned from riding St. GERMAIN - CONOVER - BOULDER JUNCTION trails last Saturday afternoon - Sunday - Monday
They claimed 320 miles in 2-1/2 days of riding and rating the conditions a "9" which I find hard to believe

Anybody else out there with "REAL' trail reports

Give Snowtracks a try Vilas towns all report trail conditions. Imo no town is over promoting snow conditions in northern WI which is not the norm.

All I can say is they are nice for the amount of snow they have to work with. We keep getting 1,2,3” every few days and that all adds up. For early February it’s not bad considering you have one month left in the season. We just need a couple of big storms but they have not materialized this year.

I rode the same area and further north a week ago...2.5 days...300 leisurely miles...St Germain had the least snow but you could tell no one was riding there so the trails were an 8/10...Everything else was 9ish...

Yes...A few minor hiccups...Currently up in the Northwoods trying to get the ACAT suspension dialed in...I keep reminding myself why I dont ride fri-sunday...AssClowns galore up here riding on MY side of the trail around corners...One corner had 12...All on rental sleds well over the centerline, all in single file...

Oh yeah and why I stay out of there wait until you see big round eyeballs veering across the trail on a 2 up rental while you go in to the picker brush to avoid a head on. Do they stop to help you pull your sled out and to see if you are alright. Never in my experience they just keep going. Crazy place imo.

Yeah your not kidding. I had 2 pass me up on a residential road. It's unbelievable how little respect some people have. As soon as they hit the trails there tracks never stop spinning washing out the whole trail. This kind of stuff drives me nuts as I know how much it takes for these groomer drivers to try and keep the trails ok. It's also disrespectful for all of the other riders that are behind them.

Can’t count the times that happened to me on 6 east from Lando I would take it easy on the roaded trail felt it was disrespectful to home owners on that road to not stay within the posted speed limit I think was 25mph. Some idiots would rip thru by me on a plowed road then when back on twistys I would be on their ass trying to get by as they were spinning out on each turn. Lol. I was also a member of Frosty Club and heard the road speedster complaints from residents. Can’t imagine what it’s like for a bullet sled to race by your house? Common sense.

I think you hit the head on the nail. There are the select few who think the Northwoods is there personal playground to do what ever they want. They some how don't realize that for a lot of people it is where they live and they should be respected. I like you go the posted speed limit on roads.
