Stainless line and bouncing dipsys

As I stated in another post I am getting back into trolling on the big pond (lake michigan) It has been about 10 years since I last did and doing some research on new products and ways of doing things I came across a couple things that I was curious if any of the DEE family here has tried or uses. First those who troll will know what I am referring to when I say "copper" or "super copper" line and I now see there is a "stainless" line which has a drop rate of 20' per 100' of line. Using Copper or super copper on an off shore board in lengths of 100' to 300' were at times some of the top producing set-ups on the boat, only problem was especially the copper line was very bulky to put out, now seeing this "stainless" line thats out there has anyone used it? like it better than copper? pro's? and con's? does it ungulate and have harmonic properties through the water? I've got alot of reels I need to re-spool and if there is something better than the copper's I'd be willing to give it a try but would rather hear any feed back from someone who has used/tried it. The other interesting thing I heard about was bouncing dipsys off the bottom for lake trout, this sounds almost impossible to me and am curious if anyone has done this? I'm used to bouncing the ball on the bottom or very long leads off the ball with dodger and fly combo's or a spin and glow, but bouncing dipsy's doesnt make much sense to me or seem possible without tripping it, or having to set release so tight to prevent tripping I could see leading to other issues as pulling in a descent lake trout can be like pulling a log up from the depths, let alone the drag of an untripped dipsy along with it, could make for a long day and sore arms.
