The wifes 800 Blizzard's electric start quit working on me. I checked all the fuses I think. (one block of two, one single, and the one on the batterie) I changed out the relay that the say can go bad with no luck. The selinoid click but no start. I tried jumping past the selinoid with pliers and didn't get any spark so I don't know if it is my selinoid or the starter. I haven't check the juice on the batterie yet (will do tonight) but don't think that is the problem cus last time I hooked the trickle charger to it, it said it was fully charged in about 5 minutes. But batterie is also 4 years old now.....what you guys think???

Do not hit the starter with a hammer or anything, you will break and damage the magnets in the starter. Most starters can be repaired.

Did try the hammer trick, also tapped the selinoid...I checked the batterie and not seeming to get a consistant reading so tonight I am going to take it off and test it...it is leaning towards batterie now...thanks for the help.

Hook your charger to the battery posts and turn the key, with charger attached the solenoid should engage and turn the motor. I'd say the brushes are worn or mosty likely the armature in the motor has a short, in that case pitch it and buy a new one. Don't take the starter out and try this cuz I've had car starters work on the bench but when put back on the starter still didn't work, no sense in making more work for yourself. Take a volt meter and see what voltage is coming off the solenoid, hook meter up then engage key. Could also be a bushing that's locked up.
