Please, Please, even if we get snow between now and the end of the month please stay off the trails and out of the woods. The clubs fight so hard to get the access we all enjoy. Can you imagine if you were a hard core hunter and MR. wall mounter starts walking in only to have a guy on a sled chase him away. I can promise you there will never be a trail through his property again. Even if your on public land it still give us a REALLY bad name. At the end of the day, we get 3-4 months to enjoy our sport they get 2 weeks. Let them have their time so they are willing to give us the land access to enjoy ours!!!!

Rding on State land after dark is perfectly legal. If "hard core hunter" is hunting "Mr. wall hanger" after dark......that would be against the law. I am a deer hunter and it wouldn't bother me one bit if people wanted to ride their sleds after dark. Trails being closed meens....private property areas and the groomers will not start until after Dec 1st...weather permitting. It's no different than riding after April 1st other than it is deer season and you can not operate an ATV from dawn til dusk.

trailshredder is right. Not that I want to start a big controversy, but as long as you are on a trail that can be ridden on at that time of the year and it is past dark, then have at it. Obviously if it is across private property and the trail has not been opened by the club, then that is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT story and say home and keep our sport from getting any black eyes.

Several years ago I took a night ride during deer season. I waited until I had to and headed up to meet some friends up north. As I was riding down the trail, I came across a hunter who was trudging through the snow. I stopped to chat with him for a bit and he was grateful to see me. Said my tracks would make it easier for him to walk out (snow was about 12" deep). I offered him a ride to his truck, but he said no thanks. So I continued on.

Just please be smart and respectful about things.
