Will be there end of Jan/begin of Feb 2013. Wondering if anyone knows anything about the place? Looks like it's in a good place to get to some good snow out there.

Place is nice, the people are very friendly. The snow hopefully is deep. can't go wrong. I go out there every year to the union pass area and i love it more than any other area.
Good choice.

was there over last St Patrick's Day in March. Absolutely a fantastic place to stay. Had a 3 bedroom cabin walking distance to snowmobiles and Bar/Restaurant. Moose and other wildlife come right upto the bar. Great snow for late in the year when I went. great food and people. go to youtube and search "crooked creek snow wild hogs" and watch trailer I made. you will have a good time there.

Sounds like they are getting all the same snow as Tog, even though they are at the south end of the pass. They have a FaceBook page and seem to be a nice group of people. Still want to get to Tog some year, but this sounds like a good spot as well.

Staying there myself this year for the first time in the end of Feb. We have always stayed at Togwottee Lodge but decided to try something differents this year. Based on how we stay it was a little bit less money, just thought the owner we met at the Novi show was very freindly so we gave it a shot.

how do u think they get their supplies delivered ever seen ice road truckers

I dont think that 18 wheelers could get up Union Pass to make any deliveries! At least any of the ones that i owned for 20+ years of trucking would never make it up there!

He is going up to "Crooked Creek" isn't he!

i am just sayin!

I have been going up there for the last 9 years and I have seen some pretty large semi trucks make it up that road. it can be done, just a little more experience is needed. The area in general is great, the powder is awesome.

Crooked Creek Guest Ranch

Terry and Cindy are awesome people. The lodge they have at crooked creek has good food and cold beer. Their guide Nick knows the area very very well and is worth the money. They also have an awesome 509 and Motorfist setup in the shop. If your sled breaks down, they have a onsite mechanic that will fix your sled. Terry is good about getting the parts right away. It is an all around awesome place to stay. Cabins are nice and the snow conditions are always acceptable. Good choice to go to Crooked Creek Guest Ranch!

That is definitely on the list of places I want to go , heck with the snow we been getting in the midwest we may all be riding out west because we will have no other choice.

Just adde to my trip 3 of the season. The owners were at Novi show and everything about them checks out. Tons of trails, but unsure of the "off trail stuff", I will venture down to them while at Lava Mtn. and check them out for sure.

Can anyone tell me the layout of the 2 story cabins at Crooked Creek? When I made our reservations I was told about how the sleeping areas were set up but I am wondering if there was enough lounging area for 5-6 guys in the living room area or if there are any tables or chairs? Anything else the cabin needs that I should bring from home? Just seems like whenever I stay at a new place there is always something I wish I would have brought, (like an electric heater for the bathroom at Ten Mile Inn in the Snowies). :D
