Hi Guys--

Just curious to learn more about the Brevort, MI/Brevort Lake area? Restaurant's, bars, gas? Should be up there around the 1st or so of Feb 2015. Any go to places or places to possibly avoid?

Any trails that have scenic beauty that one should see...Any and all suggestions welcome.

Many thanks for the replies!

Brevort, eh? Not really much there. From what I can remember, there is one gas station in Brevort, one restaurant. No bars that I know of. 10 miles due east is Moran (on M-123), there is a bar/restaurant there with some pretty good food, and a gas station. 6 miles west is Epoufette, two restaurants there, good food at both. Due north 12 miles is Trout Lake, definitely one bar there, gas, restaurant.

You can jump on the rail grade and be in St. Ignace in no time. Several restaurants/bars with good food, gas stations, hotels, motels, casino.

We always stay in St. Ignace. Great trail system and groomed to perfection. From St. Ignace you can go in any direction. You can even head South across the bridge. The Bridge Authority runs a shuttle service to transport your sleds.

I recommend staying in st. Ignace more options on food and bars and you can go where ever you choose. I fished brevort one year cause trails were crap and so was the fishing so don't do that if weather goes south waste of time..

X2, St.iggy is a good place to stay. In Brevort there is the White Pine great food. Just west on the trail is the Cut River Bridge. I think a new groomed trail this year will take you right to the bridge.
We will be there for a week in Feb.
Is it snowing yet !!!!!!!!!

Yes, there will be a signed/groomed spur trail to the Cut River bridge. It was groomed last year, just not signed.

Already been said, but I'll chime in anyways. St. Iggy.

Driftwood motel is a fave of mine. Close to trail, great food and a fun bar for after hours. The railroad grade can get a little thin if the snow is light, but you would have a similar issue in Brevort with it being on the Southern coast also.

Don't forget Timmy Lees. The young bucks in our group head for there--usually after 10:00 pm as I'm getting ready to relax.

Oh yes I'm a fan of Timmy Lee's!!! (they have awesome food too), but when we dont have someone in the group that wants to be the driver, we stagger to and from the hotel bar. LOL

My sons and their friends will sometimes tip the Casino shuttle driver to pick them up and take them back to the Budget Host.

Not sure how they arrange that, but they do..........
