Sub Tropical Low

John,
Someone told me that a few years back a sub tropical low formed over the Great Lakes. I don't think it's possible. Do you know of any such event?

I have never heard of one forming over the Great Lakes and would think the odds of that would be next to zero as those features form over the oceans.

It is possible for a tropical feature to move inland and north far enough to be over the Great Lakes and be in the form of a sub tropical low by then.

John,
I followed up with the person who told me about the sub tropical low. I guess in 1996 there was something called the Huron Hurricane. Do you have any info? Thank you.

Thanks Deedee.

I also stand corrected. This storm was classified as a sub-tropical low, although I do not remember it occurring.
