I am trying to start planning a trip out to the snowy mountain range. Does anyone have any suggestions of where to stay or where to rent sleds? I have looked at Med bow lodge and also albany lodge but I cant find much else out there.

Old Corral, Mountain Meadow Cabins, 10-Mile Inn are a few. Mountain meadows is a great location but there is no gas or food (unless you bring it in). Old Corral has everything but you gotta trailer up to Greenrock. I hear 10-Mile Inn is great but have never been there.

Albany Lodge had a contaminated well and everyone got the d sheets.Everything good now

Cant be any worse than the water here in Mexico. Glad that is fixed though.

What about renting sleds? The only place that I can find is snowy range tours and then at the Albany lodge.

Stayed at wycolo lodge last year. Little far from the big hills, but a great ride out of there every day. Have restaraunt and gas. Last minute trip for us so we had a "rustic" cabin with no john, but they had bath facilities at the restaraunt for the over night guests. Think you can stay anywhere out there and have fun. All we really did there was to recover every night so we could go back at it the next day. I love the snowies.

I don't know where you are driving out of, but we looked into this also and ended up going to the Togwotee area. For newbies like us, it seems like a better place to start off without having much off trail experience. More places to stay, options, etc.
