I am supposed to fly out to south carolina wendsday morning. They are under a winter storm watch already. I would rather cancel my flight and work related trip and head north. What are you guys thinking the chances are of this blizzard happening?? I am trying to decide if my flight will get canceled anyway because of the weather. I don't fly much so not sure how bad it has to be to shut down flights. What do you guys think??

I would count on it happening as I have to fly out tomorrow to Indianapolis until Thursday afternoon for business. Since I will be gone, it for sure will happen! The first real snow of the year and I will miss it. Figures. :(

Not sure what to think, the weather people (excluding John) have basically been wrong with every storm so far this year

I have to fly in to Duluth wednesday evening coming back from Fl. So hopefully the airport will be open as I'm changing planes in Detroit and don't want to get stuck there.

i live in the twin cites and fly about once a month.......unless we get 12+ inches my guess is that it will only get delayed.........how long who knows. The other possibility is they might issues a weather weaver (not sure what they call it exactly) but what happens is you can rebook your flight for free if any part of your trip (coming or going) happens on the day of the weather weaver.

I just watched the Twin Cities channels and it looks like we could get 10-14" up here in Spooner. I will be going nuts in Indy while we get the most snow we've had in a long time. I just hope I can get back ok on Thursday, but it shouldn't be a problem by then unless flights are messed up for a couple of days. If so, I may hitchhike home! ;)

Weather weaver? Must be something (like a loom?) that the weather witches use when "weaving" weather. :)

I think he meant "weather waiver".

Figures, now I have to fly out to California on Tuesday. I get back Thur night then will drive straight up to my cabin. All is well as long as the storm hits.

You wont have any problems I imagine, looks like the snow totals have drastically decreased for Minneapolis because of temps and sleet. North of the cities, different story! Duluth might be a little messy!
