Sway bar or No Sway bar off trail what's your opinion

Contemplating removing my sway bar for off trail. I'm riding a 2017 SBA Assault. Anyone else try this? I'm thinking with the wider front end might be easier to side hill and keep on edge.

Its all personal preference. I personally like sway bars on sleds, trail and off trail. I like it on my 42" wide off trail sled, and like it on my 37" wide off trail sled. Though I don't ride the 42" wide sled much, its just a backup that the engine is out currently.

Some guys like them, some don't. Try it and see what you like. I don't off trail ride in the midwest either, so maybe its different here?

How much work to take out? If it is easy take it out and try it. Everybody has a different idea about what they like.

If you are riding primarily off trail/ boondocking, I would definitely suggest disconnecting it. It will make a difference on how the sled handles in the deep. You shouldn't have to remove it, just disconnect one side of it. Real simple. Try it and see if you like it.

I ride without the sway bar, for many years actually. I ride mostly off trail so it's nice for laying the sled over without the sway bar. If I ride the trails I pump up the front fox float shocks air pressure and that seems to help keep the sled riding and handling decent on the twisty trails.

I bought the sway bar disconnect for my skidoo. Riding without the sway bar off trail was way better , much easier to lay the sled over and more fun. I always forget to reconnect it, Ive gotten use to riding trails without it. Now i just leave it disconnected always, I actually prefer the front end working independently on the trail.
