switchback battery

Just bought a 2017 Switchback w/elec start. Owner told me battery was dead,then pull started it. I did not know that the battery had been taken out. Could that have harmed anything? Is it OK to drive it without a battery? I did start it again to unload when I got home.

Shouldn't be a problem. Only if the positive cable grounded out, and even then probably be Okay

Battery is there only for electric start, you could run all season pull starting if you wanted too.
