Chippewa is open..snow should make it good but its blowing hard now..quit plowing as most of its blowing away. As for Taylor my best friend lives there cooridor 25 runs thru his property..not a soul has gone thru yet other than him this year..There saying they still can't get thru the swamps but they will never if they don't run some sleds thru it to pack it so it freezes...Lot of people pissed up there. If they can't get volunteer help they should just open the trails and get people on them so that they will freeze. That's what we always did when I grew up there...Supposed to be -10 Thurs. night. Not sure what the problem is there..plenty of snow..

Rode Chippewa last night, put 45 miles on. Made a loop from Eau Claire to Bloomer and back. Trails were freshly groomed and nice. Few bare spots on a plowed field but that should be taken care of with the snow we got today. Taylor is partially open but again with the cold weekend and today's snow I would guess they open it fully by the weekend.

Chippewa opened last Wednesday and they were hard packed but rideable. Quite a bit of traffic this weekend but we have a solid base from the rain storm earlier in the season. We received 2 inches on Monday and another 5" today. It is blowing but I still think it will leave the trails in western Chippewa County in great shape for trail riding. I can't comment to the eastern part of the county or Taylor Co.
